Whats a good route to the bash from I-64 West of Louiville?
Tried Google maps, they wanted me to go through Ohio when Indiana/I-69 is at my backdoor. Go figure clown

I64 west then south to Evansville/Owensboro

We are leaving Thursday Morning but I'll be leaving from Lawrenceburg, so it's a different route. If I were leaving from home (just east of Louisville) then I'd take I64 west

Al, Try "Yahoo maps". It'll give you a route like Damon described. Google maps are for folks with lots of time and gas.

I-64 WEST from Louisville,KY.
Exit 79 (SR 37 SOUTH)
SR 37 SOUTH into Tell City (@ 25mi.)
SR 66 WEST
US 231 SOUTH
US 60 BY-PASS WEST
Exit 2 off US 60 BY-PASS
Atop ramp turn LEFT (SR 56 WEST to SR 81)
About a mile or two SR 56 & SR 81 come to a "Y" style intersection.
At the "Y", bare LEFT, SOUTH onto SR 81
About 4 to 5 miles watch for WINDY HOLLOW RACEWAY signs.
The signs will instruct you to turn RIGHT off SR 81.
Follow WINDY HOLLOW signs to the track's location.

Good luck, have a safe trip and happy motoring!
Dave.

Let me add that I-64 out of Louisville, KY takes you back across the Ohio River into southern Indiania. Then SR 37 south off of I-64, is an IN hwy into Tell City, IN.

If you are coming south from Indy on I-65, then before you get into Louisville KY, you will want to take I-265 west over to I-64, and you'll be staying north on the Indiania side of the Ohio River.

Owensboro, KY is somewhat fairly centrally located between Indianapolis on the north, Louisville on the east, Nashville on the south, and St. Louis on the west. We're about 35 miles east of Evansville, IN.

Hope this helps,

Charlie

On another note as concerns relative to your "Bash Trip". As you travel SOUTH on SR 37 toward TELL CITY, IN, about two to three miles before arriving at TELL CITY there is an INDUSTRIAL PARK (NORTH PERRY COUNTY INDUSTRIAL PARK) on your RIGHT as you travel SOUTH. This can be a landmark for a upcoming TURNOFF for SR 237 to your LEFT. SR 237 will take you to the OHIO RIVER BRIDGE at CANNELTON, IN. Cross the OHIO RIVER BRIDGE into HAWESVILLE, KY. The route winds through town. Hawesville is a very small town. As you arrive at theTRAFFIC LIGHT you have TWO OPTIONS. Turn LEFT go up the hill to US 60 WEST. Turn RIGHT (WEST) and follow US 60 WEST into Owensboro and refer to previous directions I posted. OR, at the Hawesville TRAFFIC LIGHT, go STRAIGHT to the STOP SIGN. TURN LEFT at the STOP SIGN and this will take you to US 60 WEST at the edge of HAWESVILLE. The only difference is traveling straight will allow you to miss the hill when you take a left at the traffic light.

The reason I posted this amendment is on IN SR66 there is the possibility of mud slides in three areas recently. Although I travel IN SR66 almost daily, this may be of concern to some.

Again, happy motoring.
Dave.
