Not at the "bash" it didn't .
Re: Starting over.....
To be fair, it had run a best of 4.66 in good (but not great) fall air. That was on plain old industrial methanol. Never tried any M5.
At the bash it was around 4.77-78 most of the time. It had the '60 to do better, but was shaking the tire on the shift.
4.76 on a decent track for this time of year is normal. The mph is down a little vs the injection. Normally 4.76 would get me 144.9-145.1 mph. Sort of the opposite if what I figured it would do on gas. I would have guessed the et would have slowed, but the mph would go up.

Re: Starting over.....
What was the 60' at the bash ? Phillip put 2* of timing in it ....picked up 1 mph.
Phillip said the car drives real nice.

Bash was 1.05 60's. It has gone a best of 1.02 in good air. Many 1.03's in decent air combined w good track.
It is a good driving car. Very comfortable to go fast in.

Re: Starting over.....
Q16 is to race gas like M5 is to alky......................not starting a debate...................
Id suspect the mph is from the 2100cfm vs the 1250...................

Re: Starting over.....
He put 2* from where it was as delivered. The 4.76 was @ 1.07 60' . It aint a great track/air today.....Phillip said his "big" car was off .050 .David Cole wrote:Lem Evans wrote:What was the 60' at the bash ? Phillip put 2* of timing in it ....picked up 1 mph.

I guess the alky wanted more timing. I had started off with less. When I added about 2° it picked up, so he's back to where I started at on the alky.

Re: Starting over.....
Could have something to do with it but it's at 144.5 now.......a couple more Phillip adjustments and a snout full of Oct. air and we'll see what happens. At any rate this thing's got a real engine in it.......a 588" not 598" or 605"richter69 wrote:Q16 is to race gas like M5 is to alky......................not starting a debate...................

Edited my post above. I misread it. I thought he had pulled timing out.
Re: Starting over.....
Car ran great. Track was slowest we have been on all year. most 60's were 1.10 and air was 4300 ft. Made a few shock adjustments and all was well.
Dont think Q16 has anything in it called nitro(m5). just saying. lol
