Re: got some new heads
did not make this post to start a pissing match, i hate the normal sbc and bbc motors, they are junk, i had a lot of issues on these motor till i seen a motor built, new the parts , what is was and then seen it run 10.00 and 9.90 range 1/4 mile , using bone stock heads(valve spring upgrade) a edelbroke intake with carb and a hydraulic roller cam in a bone stock 6.0 100,000 mile shortblock 364 ci motor, while you have to use a huge bore, port the hell out of stock heads, huge roller cam and bump the compression to the moon to get 550-600 hp these motor are doing it in 90% stock trim and weigh a fraction of a BBF..just saying is alldfree383 wrote:So you need to go post this on a LS GM site......

Re: got some new heads
Thats about what our iron heads flow on our 538hp 306. There are so many good head options for the sbf not sure why one would even go this route??????????
Sorry your not getting a lot of warm and fuzzies with your Chevy headed sbf on this site.

Re: got some new heads
How much do these 10.0 cars with the LSX motors weight?
Pretty sure Dave's "cheap skate" motor will run some 10.0 flats in a 3000 car, and i promise he'll have way less money in that deal.
Lots of guys call me a dick when my conventional headed N/A BBF whips that ass.................

Re: got some new heads
By the time you make a manifold and get the custom cam and parts to put a set of those on a SBF, You could have purchased a good set of SBF heads to start with...... and the fact that you've stated your getting an aluminium 6.0 tells me your jumping ship and sleeping with the enemy...... and the fact that your stating that and LS motor is better than a BBF, gets you Benidict Arnold status in my book......
Like Fabio Said, Build you a project Cheap Skate and be one with your Ford.......

Its Bad..... Real Bad....... You'll only dig your hole deeper if your going to put it in a Ford product..... Where did your parents go wrong !?!?!?!?!
What realy amazes me is its take GM 40 years to get a factory small block head as good as a Cleveland one and it took Ex-Ford engineers to do it !!!! Amazing.....
Now go on and play with your new GM toys and hit the LS websites....... We'll miss you.....

Re: got some new heads
No offense John but it you want to run a GM then go over to their sight and have fun.... BUT do not try and Cram this S&*t down our throats....... and for your saying we are running Chevy trans..... BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ wrong Ford built that trans and sold it to chevy way back... and besides 90% of these are aftermarket parts anyways..... so go buy you a Cumarooooo and have fun......

Re: got some new heads
I don't get it.... I've see this happen on here and the other site like, "hey Ford lovers, check out this Chevy I just got and it's awesome....probably even better than my BBF!"
I mean come on...really? Have you read the titles of these sites or are you just trolling?
