460 fresh motor won't turn over

I actually did get it fixed by loosening up the main caps and resembling but no idea what created the bind like I said it was a weird one and don't know what it was, everything was fine untill you tightend the bolt up as you would tighten the bolt to the balancer it woudl get tight I don't know we thought the balncer was getin thrown into the chain cover but we did it with out the chain cover and we thought maybe the it was the bolt but you could put the bolt in the whole way it was loose but soon as the harmonic balancer would go on and as you tightend the bolt the motor would get tight never did figure it out what was making the bind but some how worked its self out
