Got rid of the leaf springs.
We removed the leaf springs and old Competition Engineering shocks and replaced them with double adjustable Afco coil overs. Took it to the track last night to try it out. I don't know what to do with so much adjustability! Its amazing how just a few clicks of the shock dials can make such a difference in how the car reacts. I made three passes with subtle changes each pass. These things are fun to play with. The Afcos are definitely a quality piece. We wound up mounting them in front of the rear end which I know is not ideal but placing them behind would have required major floor and frame mods or they would have had to be inside the frame rails which imo would be too far from the tires and too close together. Its too early to tell if I picked up much ET but there is definitely a lot less body separation and wasted motion. Can't wait to get back to the track to try out some more adjustments.

It's not just the larger amount of adjustability, it's the added benefit of being able to make small fine tuning adjustments inside the large window. I think you will like it.512Fairlane wrote:I don't know what to do with so much adjustability!
