Paint is done (pics)

I've been absent from the site for a little while but I've been extremely busy lately. 25.5 update is done and I finished shooting the paint yesterday. I decided to change it up a little since so many people have blacked out cars now. I'm doubting that there are many olive drab green Mustangs running around so I think I should be good for a while now. Let me know what you think.

Still waiting on the machine shop to finish with the new A460 block and my heads should be on the CNC machine this week. No more playing around this time.


For those who haven't seen it before here's what it used to look like.



The front end is just set on there so don't razz me too bad.

That Turbo hole in the bumper is awesome . That took some serious work on a rubber bumper. Car looks really cool!!

looks good... but you need to fix that big hole in the bumper

It took 2 weeks to get that thing right. I used a furnace tube from the hardware store for a mold and made it from scratch out of fiberglass. It's bonded to the back side of the bumper and it took forever to get the front perfect.

They already did. 2 deployments to Iraq paid for this car.

That thought has crossed my mind but it would have to be someone really good at powder coating. I may wait until the Weld beadlocks go on the back and have all of them done at the same time.






Thanks to everyone for the compliments. It's a lot of work when you do everything yourself but I feel it's worth it in the end.

That thing look SweET! I like how is a nice satin paint job that all goes together. The rear wheels really go well with the rest of the car, no chrome just all dark colors makes for a bad azz looking car. And who are you gonna take for a ride? The car kind of reminds me of the F-Bomb.

I can't remember exactly but I think they are 7.5. The housing will get narrowed at the same time I get the wheels. I probably should get rid of the 4 lug axles anyway since this thing makes stupid power.

F-bomb is one awesome machine for sure. The nice thing about this car is that it drives awesome on the street and it gets driven a lot when it's running. My goal when it's back together is to drive it 40 miles to the track, make a 7 second blast, and drive it home without ever changing anything other then tire pressure.

Thanks for your srevice and the car looks great I like the color better than the black my self.I think the color speaks for what kind of service you stand for it will stand out when you drive it and make people pay attention.

The names of 3 soldiers from my Battalion who gave their lives for our great nation are going on the passenger window. The hatch will also have the names of every member of my family who has served. It also has veteran plates on it.

That is a great way to honor them and have them riding with you in memory of what they have gave for all of us here in the USA

Car looks awesome! I like that you didnt go with just old flat black...which looks horrible to me but thats my opinion lol. The green with the flat looks a million times better.

The car looks awesome!! I like the idea of NOT keeping up with the Joneses and staying away from black lol. The cage looks awesome as well!

Glasstek custom made it for me. It's a 6" later fox scoop on a 4 eye hood. They will make it for anyone if you call them up and ask.
