Car sounds nasty Jon. I know from your past, you'll have it figured out in short order. You're makin' a bit more power than last year, so I expected a few launch issues to start. If it was a BBC, you wouldn't have the traction issues. Wait, there would still be issues, only from too much traction from a lack of HP.
Anyway, it's lookin' good for the 1st time out.

Yeah, how's that?

He's got enough power, putting it to the ground is the next problem. I'd like to see more weight transfer, maybe if we softened the springs that would help.

It is, but we'll be done Saturday night. Heck you'll be home before midnight and can take the old lady out for dinner Sunday. I will not accept any excuses from a Tennessee Vol! The whole DD thing has nothing to do with heads, engines, cars or performance............and unlike a lot I put all the details out there for everyone to see and criticize, I'm no where near satisfied nor through messing with it lol.

Charlie i'm on the southern border of TN,but still closer than most who'll be at the bash.as far as ball games go hell i did'nt even know they lost.how do you have time to keep up with ball games with all the work you have to do?

I found some brass fillings in the fuel cell, sent to pump up to Geralds and sure enough it took a dump.................explains why I couldnt get enough fuel in it.

I got Coug's pump here and had him flow it as well, its a stout unit, I'll be borrowing it Coug if you dont mind while mine gets repaired.

Philip O has me some new slicks on the way, moved some weight around, couple suspension adjustments......................M5 will be going in. ................

Will see how it fares at the KOV race a weeke from this friday, its all 1/8th mile from here out till late fall.

Have you got an idle bypass/pump saver on it? I'm adding one to my setup just for that reason.

It has the grey bv with one built in, it was a seal and int bushing that started to go. This size pump should not need an extra bp. James seemed to think it was a freak deal, I will put my highspeed on it after a few baseline runs without it to see where the curve is with the better pump.

BTW, the red alert deal is worth its weight in gold.......

no tubes, the tires that are on it are not stiff walls and they are shot. I have a set of Hoosier 29.5 11.5W's on the way, they are also a stiffwall design which is what this car really wants.

This fuel pump deal explains a lot of the egt issues, I'm not gonna bank on it making a big difference but you never know lol.

20's....hell no...if it will be as fast as the Nickster I'll be happy.............

Your pump may be in the same shape as Fabio's

For sure it could be. Gerald gets 100 bucks to flow the whole system and you get all the flow sheets and maps etc. Good to have notes in case something gets wackey you'll have something to compare with.
