Rick,
Pretty sure the cars are caged and certified. There was about a dozen of those cars at Beaver Springs about 2 years ago. A few of the cars did have roll bars.

The intake manifold is a OEM cast iron SCJ manifold also.

Thanks guys. Charlie, I'm just trying to show the world that a BB FORD takes a back seat to no one.
The specs are from last year, the motor is 14.7 with a C&S carb. AND YES the intake is a cast iron SCJ with extensive work. She made just over 825 hp @6200 and just over 800 lbs with iron exhaust manifolds and idles @ 900rpm all through 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust with mufflers. I'm pretty sure there's another 2 tenths when i get it all sorted. She went 1.523 60 on G60-15 polyglass tires, NO traction devices at all. Split mono leafs with stock suspension. Only adjustable front and rear shocks. Lane

Lane,a few questions.
What all did you change with this engine from the Torino to the Mustang?
What is the weight difference with the Mustang vs the Torino?
Also weight distrabustion difference front and rear?
Also, there were some guys over at the mopar site that were complaining about the front suspension being after market.
Just to clarify,not Dave Dudek.

John,
Don't forget we got some of those D0OE-R's way up here in Central AB too ! I used the boys in Brooks to Dyno my 557" Iron CJ's they were quite impressed with the iron heads and a single carb.

Same basic motor, differrent carb, cam, more compression, more intake work and head work.
Motor makes 110 more than the Torino combo. Spent "A-LOT" of time on the dyno at BES with 2 cams, 3 intakes (Charlie thanks) and 2 carbs. Car is 3675, the Cobra was 4175 race ready. The cobra is an original Drag Pack car, I did not cut it up. Mustang weight distribution is BAD, 54 1/2 on the front with 159lbs in the trunk.
The front suspension is 100% STOCK. I did loosen up the control arm bushings and remove the sway bar (legal per rules) ajustable shocks, stock mustang springs, stock radius arms. The bump steer kit is steering, not suspension, and has been painted to blend in. It falls under safety, to correct the bad toe as the car goes through its arc, 139 mph with bad toe could get ugly. Several of the guys (mopar) that I race with did take up for me on the Mopar site. Big Sqeeze, XXHemi,f1Scamp,smallhurst,cjfordman,HPMike(the engine builder for at least 4 of the 440 Mopars)and several others. The others that seem to have a problem with a cast iron intake, heads, one carb, iron manifolded FORD passenger car motor taking down a RACE engine with aluminum intake, 2 fours and cast headers, well I wonder what the thread on moparts would look like if I was running a Hemi Challenger.
PS, I have already been told that I need to change my air cleaner "It doesn"t look right"
So I will comply and just make it run a little FASTer.

Re: New F.A.S.T Record by Lane Carey
That's just totally Awesome performance!! The exhaust manifolds is the hardest thing to get HP past. They took a half second off my old 390 over headers. But ,they were stock. This just shows what great minds and I'm sure many many hours of porting and testing can do. I'm sure alot of the brand X's are scatching their heads over this. Your a hero in the Blue Oval Camp!! Great job and Best Of Luck to you in the future!!
