Re: does this seem realistic?
Just looked ... and the Crate Engine Reference Chart on that site right now is incorrect also. It lists the F460FT & F460RT as using the "Performer RPM' intake manifold but, they really come with a "Victor".
Call 'em for confirmation, I did.

Re: does this seem realistic?
haha... you seem to be making this a personal thing for some reason. I did ask for opinions and you gave yours. There is no need to "apologize" for entering my thread and posting your opinion when I asked for it. I was not trying to argue your opinion as that would be pointless because opinions aren't "right/wrong" they are subjective.
Either way, I appreciate your input. I was not aware of the mistakes on that link, I just googled the part numbers and that came up right from the ford racing site, so I assumed it was right LOL.
again, thank you for you input. I will be dynoing this engine in the somewhat near future so keep an eye out and if nothing else you can say "I told you so" to me and everyone else who disagrees with you. I've been wrong once or twice in my life so far, one more time won't kill me!

Re: does this seem realistic?
This is nothing personal, far from it ... simply an attempt to make sure that there is no mis-information floating around about what was available from FRPP. They made several small printing errors throughout the years and a lot of customers were very disenchanted with their information not matching what actually came on the crate engine(s) which they wanted to buy.

Damn Randy, you've only been home from the EMC what a week or two? Are you already stirring trouble? Behave yourself! ..... .....

Re: does this seem realistic?
Al ... the amount of people who called back then about incomplete descriptions, numbers being transposed and outright printing errors were not very pleasant about their thoughts on the subject.
I simply don't want for that to be happening anymore so, I guess I am pretty passionate about that; to much perhaps.

Re: does this seem realistic?
Guys ... to keep it straight, I worked the engine parts, warantee repair and resolve and sometimes, (about twice a week), I worked the phones on the tech line when that area
would get extreemely busy.
That all moved to a different location in 2006.
Marty, Ray, Tom and Steve are still on the FRPP tech line now.

Re: does this seem realistic?
I ran some 12.0s @ 113mph this past weekend in a 92 coupe with a 466, cleaned up D0VE heads, small flat tappet, Victor and a 750 Dominator, C6, 3K stall, MT drag radials, and I think 4.10 gears... Not my car, just drove it. Don't know much about the engine other than this since it's not mine.
It's got 11's in it since the brakes would not hold it on the starting line to launch it. Maybe some 11.50s all said and done...

1. Intended use
Street/Strip... the strip performance is more important than street comfort
2. Vehicle info (weight/gearing/trans)
completely gutted, '88 mustang hatch, I would guess the weight to be around 2800~, disc brake, Ford Explorer rearend with 3.73's, trans is a bone stock C6 from a '76 Thunderbird but has a 3K stall T.C., trans cooler and will be getting a shift kit, using a pro-ratchet shifter.
3. Fuel desired to use (racing gas/av gas/E-85/methonal/pumpgas)
93 octane or better
4. Parts you already have
-60k mile short block from '76 Thunderbird, H.V. oil pump, Canton swap pan/pickup, double roller timing set
-Lunati 61604 camshaft (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LUN-61604LK/)
-D0VE heads, full, professional port/polish and machined .050 (came off a 700HP+ N/A 52x stroker), 2.25/1.725 SS valves (say right around 10:1 compression)
-1.73 stainless steel roller rockers
-Performer RPM intake (port matched to heads/gasket)
-Holley 850 D.P. carb
-Holley "blue" fuel pump
-sumped tank, 5/8" hardline to Y-block, -10 to each carb inlet
-Hooker long tubes, 1-7/8" - 3", dual 3" straight pipes with glass packs
-D.U.I. distributor
-MSD 6-HVC ignition
-Ford racing 9mm plug wires (haven't chosen plugs yet)
The car also has torque box reinforcement, boxed control arms (stockers I boxed), sub-frame connectors, no heat/AC stuff AT ALL, battery relocated to rear right. aluminum 3" driveshaft, 3-row aluminum radiator, Taurus fan and I'll be running 27x10.5 slicks. Let me know if I am missing anything. also, it will be spring before I get any ET's but dyno numbers I can get over the winter. Pretty much done building the car, just have to do the gauges, trans cooler and wire the ignition.
Thats funny this is a partial copy of a post I made on the other site to try and help people get advice. I like it! Glad to see people using it.
