Cam jig for Double pins
Guy's,The subject of double pinning of cam shafts has come up on both the forums many times. So when my engine was in the building stages I came up w/a jig to do my own cams. I showed a good friend(retired machinist)what I wanted .I did my own roller cam and here are some pic's of it. It works great

Nice Rick!!
I always like cool tools.
My engine doesn't have enough lift or spring pressure for a double pin deal yet.
But I will have one of those in my tool box in the near future.

I wonder if I could make one on the lathe at school. Took me like 50 takes 3 different times to figure it out, but now I see that its just one solid chunk of aluminum or steel.

any need for a double pin cam with a danny bee set-up? or does it just depend on the spring pressure...

Justin you could make it out of aluminum but you would need to add a steel sleeve as a guide to it where you drill for the new pin.The billet aluminum will no hold up from a drill bit with out it.

Re: Cam jig for Double pins
I did'nt drill thru it when I did mine. I used the jig as a template to mark the cam/TC gear with the point we made on the opposite end of the drill bit. Then setup the cam in my drill press.
