Timing on DOVE headed 514
D0VE headed 514, cam is 272/277 and 747/737 lift.
what timing are you guys running. I know several things are involved like if the cam is advanced, straight up, or retrarded.
mine is straight up and I run 32 degress timing. car has a glide, and 4.88 gear, 2350 lb tube chassis, all MSD on racing gas(VP C-12). 5.88s at 117 about 1000 ft above sea level. I run a 950HP so I know I need a dommy and have purchased a 1050 series 8896. compression is 13:1
Just curious

Re: Timing on DOVE headed 514
Is your timing locked? My 552 liked 32* on the dyno with the small cam, but with the larger one I run now 33* was suggested. Reason being was the engine was spinning faster rpms with the larger cam. Do some back to back runs and see if your times vary with more timing. If it is better at 33 or 34 that is what the engine wants.
