what headers give the best ground clearance?
what headers give the best ground clearance? the car is a 79 mustange with a 466. thanks

One thing us Fox Body guys have figured out is that each manufacturer's headers are really designed to work "great" with a certain k-member, engine height, fore/aft placement, mounts vs plates, etc...
I'd give Bob at D&D a call. He'll tell you what k-member his are built around, etc... I have a set of unknown headers that fit well and are fairly tight to the floor for a 4" collector. I've seen others that hang down so low you can stick your arm between the header and floorpan!
What's you plan for k-member, ride height, plates vs mounts, etc.?
I'd give Bob at D&D a call. He'll tell you what k-member his are built around, etc... I have a set of unknown headers that fit well and are fairly tight to the floor for a 4" collector. I've seen others that hang down so low you can stick your arm between the header and floorpan!

X2 on Bob at D&D http://www.ddautospec.com/products_headers.html, he can answer any questions you have. I know when I bought my headers from him he said they were built around a factory K member.
