Fiberglass 101
Working on Chuck's car , he wants the bottom of the fenders back on it.....I don't have them so I've got to make them...[img][/img]So ,I took a piece of aluminum and bent it like the fender[img][/img]Then I turned the doghouse upside down[img][/img]Then fastened the pieces to it[img][/img]Then layed some matting and resin to it[img][/img]Also working on the hood[img][/img]I like doing this ,but the itching sux!!

Looks like it's gonna work just fine Dano. On a side note, there is a rumor that a severe gas leak is lingering around your neighborhood,so please don't light up around Chucks car.
PS see ya stinky

It didn't make the paint peel off ...like at the motel..but in my defense, I think they used some cheap paint there..However if I was Harold I'd watch that wallpaper boarder to make sure it doesn't fall off

Re: Fiberglass 101
Mr. Hobbs, I have yet to work glass and resin but my grandpa has done a lot of it and told me how its done. Now here's my question, would you be able to cover the face of lets say a hood or fender with tin foil or wax paper and make a whole new fiberglass panel off of it then maybe add support? Or is that impractical? I mean, I know you can stack foam on a panel and form it to your liking and then glass over that and make a panel. So, would making an entire let say hood or deck lid out of fiberglass be a bad idea? I would like to work with fiberglass but right now I have no reason to.
I probably will in the future to form my hood scoop to my hood, it all depends. I figured I would ask you since you seem to be quite the fiberglass expert, nice work.

Dan-o,
WTFC may be upset if you scratch his paint. Be careful....he is bigger than you!
