dropped valve damage
I found a set of D00ER heads for sale that were damaged by dropped valves. They have since been repaired decked and checked out by a race engine shop. There is still a dent by one of the combustion chambers. How would this affect their value, performance, and durability?

Value...... Pretty big affect
Perfromance.... Probably no effect
Durabilty...... depends on the quality of the repair and the severity of the damage.

AND there could be a crack in it somewhere that the naked eye can't see. I can't remember what that stuff is that you can check it with right now. EDIT- I think it is "magnaflux".dfree383 wrote:Value...... Pretty big affect

Re: dropped valve damage
Well i won them for $676 on Ebay. Unmodified ports, Completely rebuilt by an experienced race engine hop, They where magnafluxed and pressure checked, no welding had to be done on them, new bronze guides, new valve seats, Comp locks and retainers, stainless intake and exhaust valves, and decked .015". and a satisfaction guaranty by the seller. It seems like a ok deal to me
