Re: 2011 Bash?
EVERY track above Atlanta closes down Every Year for the winter and reopens in the spring. I'm sure if we had enough snowfall every year ,we'd be racing snowmobiles at Windy Hollow...but snow around here is like sex , you never know how many inches there'll be or how long it'll last.....scottke wrote:I thought I heard that Windy hollow was closed down. ????

Hey AL, it's ZERO degrees and about a foot of snow on the ground so, of course ... let's press about going drag racing, lol, LOL.

It's not that big of a deal, people are just asking a simple question, if you think it is so dumb, don't reply to it, simple as that.

Re: 2011 Bash?
I broke a sweat yesterday packing wheel bearings and adjusting breaks on the trailer. Pleanty of good racing weather here. Getting ready for the trip to Island, KY.
44° today, but still in a Tshirt with lots of sunshine.

We all make our choices on where to live so don't hate on the guys that choose to live in the south where there is no snow and you can wear shorts 360 days of the year. All kidding aside, usually the biggest reason people want to know is so they can book time off at work. If you work for a big company with a lot of employees you need to get those dates in early or you stand a chance of missing them.

Well Al, Jason nailed it. My cutoff date for pre-scheduling vacation and having seniority be a factor in the decision was the 14th, now it will be first come first served. It's not like I've been calling, emailing, and pm-ing Philip daily about it. But hey, I guess I was being an unreasonable prick by posting one question on the board.

Re: 2011 Bash?
Guys Windy is not closed. Yes it will run a limited schedule this year. I fully intend to have the Bash with the help of Lem Evans. Some things are probably going to happen this year to make this event more special than ever. We are looking at this being an all Ford all day Fri and Sat both. With the bash eliminations Sat afternoon. Also a very special race Fri night.
Some of you may know and some may not but this year I have started Building engines for the general public and I'll just say business is great. So you guys can help me with some dates. Lets look at May, June, and July. Lets make sure we are not bumping heads with any other Ford races or Div 3 races and probably holidays. So lets see what dates we cant have it and then we can move forward. Thanks for understanding.
