Gapping rings Empty Gapping rings

Getting ready to put my engine together and have a question. Using Akerly and Childs low tension rings. I only plan on running NOS every now and then, and then at a 150 shot at best. How should I gap the rings? Clearance them for the juice or split the difference? Or just clearance them for motor only?

Read the instructions that come with the rings.

The instructions say to set them at one gap for motor only, and another for NOS. So I set them with the NOS gap even though it will only see juice maybe one race a year just to be safe?

I'd set them for the juice. Doubt you see any difference between the 2 gaps on motor...
