New WV Drag Strip!!! Hopefully
I might have to build a pavement pounder if this takes off! This would be awesome since I can only mud bog a few times a summer, I could drag race the other weekends.
Hopes to be NHRA by 2012.
Is there any other WV guys in here that would frequent this track?
Heres a couple of links.

Yeah, it will be nice if it opens. It has been a while since Fairmont closed, to this day there are guys still selling their former drag cars in the local trader ads. A lot of them went to dirt circle track racing, I wonder how many will go back?
My brother just got a teaching job and bought a house in Lewis Co, bout 10min from the where this track will be located. Would make it nice to have a place close to a track like that to stay during all weekend events.
I just hope the guy gets it going and doesn't run it in the ground.
Question, in drag racing, do the street class cars usually have to be lic. and insured to be legal?

Street cars do not need to be licensed to race, but you will need a license to drive it to the track.
