I agree Rick, Harold is a very generous soul. There are many good souls here, who not only give material things without question, but give their experience and knowledge as well. It always feels better to give than to receive.

I posted on the other thread. Very Happy I haven't messed around with the Fairlane much, because the trans is shifting like poo poo. I have a new valve body coming in, so I hope that does the trick. If not, I'm going to pull the trans and have it looked at. I've had a health wake up call with very high blood pressure and diabetes. My A1C was 12.9! I wasn't feeling good at all, so I went to my doctor for some blood work and a check up. Long story short, I'm on BP medication and pills for the blood sugar. I've lost 31 lbs since September, and I had to quit drinking, which is a good thing. Laughing My liver function tests were horrible too. I hope I didn't damage it too much. Mad After a month or so on the medication, everything is coming back to normal. With more weight loss, I should be doing much better. I get blood work done again the end of April, so that will be a 3 month check without any booze, and eating much healthier. I'll be around more often to catch up.

Take care of yourself Pat, the health is the important factor, without it the rest don't matter much, let me know if I can help.

I try to do it whenever I can. Buy peoples dinner at restaurants. Bought I little boy and his mother donuts the other day. I just walk out and don't tell them. I always here about it the next time I'm at that store. Had a member on here get cut with cheap cut off wheel. I set him up with name brand ones and new set of safety gear and assorted grinding stuff. Wish I could do more. Want to take one saturdays pay a month and donate it to local shelters and churches.

My son does this also. This is one of the few years he actually accepted presents from friends. Usually it is presents from family. Then he tells his friends to bring something for childrens home or st. Jude. He just turned 8 on the 11th

I was taught this from childhood on and practiced it all my life. Like some of you I gave away more than I will ever get back. However it does the soul good to know you did what you could when you could. I once gave a jump start to a man at the hospital parking lot, he told me that I was the only one out of five he had asked to help him. After getting it started he asked "how much do I owe you?" When I told him all I ask in return is that you help someone someday and remember me helping you. He looked at me like I was some kind of fool, got in his truck and without a word drove away. Some folks just dont get it and probably never will.

I will add my thanks to Harold for sending something of value to someone he doesnt know and I hope he knows that if I have something he needs, its his.

I keep stuff that I no longer have any use for but, it's still a good piece; (whatever it is).
The NEED to give it to somebody so it gets used is compelling because I simply can't just throw it away, lol.
