Need help IDing Ford Brake drum
I'm trying to get my old 1970s Maverick drag car going and somebody in the past put 11 X 2 - 2.25in drums in the back and I'm missing one. The only part number on it is C2800A and it is 4.5 inch bolt pattern of course. Any help would be appreciated, I don't know what kind of Ford that drum came off of.

Take it down to the parts store and find a pair that will interchange. I'd look at a V8 Mustang from the 60's or early 70's.

Re: Need help IDing Ford Brake drum
I contacted someone from Currie and he thinks it was a Currie 11inch brake kit, which they discontinued years ago. He recommended a rear drum from a 63-65 Galaxie. I was talking to someone else who went through this and they ended up buying a drum from a 57 Ford, which has the 11 X 2 inch brakes.

Re: Need help IDing Ford Brake drum
IIRC a late 70's - early 80's 460 "big car" with a coil spring 9" housing (forget if it was a Ford, Lincoln, or Merc) I picked up for parts a while back came with 4-1/2 x 11 x 2-1/4 drums.
And I think the '80 F100 300 6 cyl I had years ago had a 9" with 4-1/2 x 11 x 2-1/4 (or possibly 2-1/2??) drums.
In the past I had thought that all the 9" housings with small bearing ends had the 10" drums & all the big bearing housings had the 11" drums. But that might not be the case 100% of the time.
