Re: SBF limitations/info please
The AFR's...........well you cant buy them bare, the spring package (for a solid roller anyway) sucks, after we had ours all redone came to find out the valve location is closer to the deck..........so P-V clearance will be a lot less..............or at least in our case it was.
Find a set of the 200cc World Products iron heads, they are cheap, bolt right on, and will support a good amount of power.

Not sure if the cam is a hysraulic, mechanical, or solid roller. I'd have to check next time I'm in the shop. And these heads are supposed to be for the .040 over 351w, not the 302 I guess.

I wish I could go back to 11 flat. We had more fun then I think. but it is cool to go faster. Funny thing though. I've never made a 10 second pass.

Sounds like dad wants to run heads out o box Not even the slightest cleanup, whatever... I said I could at least use the drumal on the intakes and cleanup the surface and make it nice and clean like I did with mine, he looked at me like he didn't like the idea of it.

Re: SBF limitations/info please
The point I was trying to get across him was that it wouldn't take much to do and it would help. Not sure on the heads, he told me we aren't going to do it right now even though he just told me he wanted to get it built up before my next race Whatever, I'm saving this thread because I'll build this engine up and will benefit from the info greatly. Thank you guys, that helped a bunch. I need to buy the setup from my machinist, one hellovah deal.nuclearcobra wrote:Thats fine he can run them outta the box nothing wrong with that what kind of heads?
