That will give him some good motivation to get it on his own. Knowing that there is something down the road for the kids means they can slip slide along and never really get motivated like they should.

Re: Crack would be a cheaper hobby
I keep my wife off the site and a "toy account" that when i manage to get extra money i slip some in there. My wife found out about it and hates it, but she has no idea what it has grown to. Got a couple good bonus' at work in cheque form instead of direct deposit.
If and when My wife and my upcoming child lack for any necessities, the toys, and/or the toy account will be paying for what we need.
Like i tell my wife, I make 70% of our income, i should be able to spend a couple hundred bucks a year
if it were only that much.
I dont know how I'm gonna hide the lift kit and 35" tires on the truck....

At least you don't have automotive attention deficit disorder like me. I find myself messing around with 3 or 4 projects and finishing none of them. Then I have to step back and force myself to do one thing at a time. It is very embarrassing. I still remember the time I had 3 fresh shortblocks hanging on engine stands, and no money to finish any of them.
