Re: E85 conversion coming next week.
OK things didn't go to bad. First in the cold temps we had a hard time starting the car. Battery starting to fail(replaced last year Optima) once we got the car started we did burn quite a bit of fuel to get this thing to temps. Once we did get things figured out it really was not so bad. We did use up 8 gallons total with starting the car the night before and also the extended warm ups today. Once we could maintain heat in the engine we only burnt a gallon of fuel per run. On gas it was 3/4 of a gallon. thats leaving the trailer going to the lanes making the run and back to the trailer. As for how the car ran I would say we were a little fat on the Idle and lean on the run. I think we gained too much temps during the run. Some where between 10-15 degrees. Which is lean. So I'll contact the Builder and see what he wants to do next. We have a back to back TNT next weekend and hope that the weather holds out then as well. We were forcasted to have high winds but it really didn't happen till late ond just a few gust while we were in the staging lanes.
also ran the new car for the first time and was a little disappointed as the MPH was not what I was hoping for. Both cars are a throttle stop deal (super comp) and my little 514 was just a tad quicker. BUt this car drives like a Lexus and shifts in to 2nd gear on the stop. So it pretty much hauls ass for just 2nd gear.

Don't ahve and EGT. But most of the E85 tuners say the best way to tune is using a lamba sensor. and theres a site that has pretty good info chart on these readings.

They are correct the lambda tells alot no matter what fuel it is the same gas, alky & E85 no matter what % it is.
I got a LM2 and it shows lambda I was showing around .80 egts where 1230 Sunday pretty much flat .79 to .80 from transbrake launch to the traps.

I've been looking at the lm2 but really haven't found anybody here localy that has one or used one. I hate learning everything by the seat of my pants. I also need to redial in my throttle stops for my old car and now the new one as well. I really ahve too many learning curves at the moment. The LM2 would be a great deal for sure. Did you get the Basic kit or the full thing?

Basic kit I did get the one that can run 2 O2 sensors but I only use one, so I wouldnt do that agian. what kind of temp are you staging at a what is the temp rise?
I stage at 150 see 160 thru traps 1/8 mile long drive back to trailer and it is around 158 on a 80 degree day, shut it down dont cool at all. Made 3 passes in a 25 min period all the same only seen 210 oil temp and 150 trans, doing a little testing for late rounds

we tried to hit the burn out pit at 160-165. some timnes a little hotter 170. But I'm seeing 12-14 degrees rise buy the end of the run. I dont get to look at it till I get to the ET booth where I get my time slip.

Re: E85 conversion coming next week.
Well I did it
Got a screaming deal on a LM2. $250 brand new and its not the basic kit. So in a few weeks I'll get some more info or you all. I did go out last sunday but the winds were so bad we really didn't get any good base line numbers. And my daughter never made a full run in the new car.
She knew that if she didn't feel safe not to run it out. There's always another time
