First passes.
Finally made to the track with my brothers car. The track was crappy, too many street car dirt'n the track. Anyways, we couldn't get the T brake to work along with the normal first time bugs. With the t brake not working we were force to leave on foot brake around 2000 rpm's, the n2o convertor shoves through the brake anything past that. The best 60 was a 1.46, every time I shifted to 2nd the car would spend the tires, so you had to drive the shit out of it every pass. The best we could get was a 6.45 @ 109. I know there's more in the car on a better track. For those who use T brake how much does it pick your car up compared to foot brake?

Some cars it helps a bunch and some NONE. It all depends how well the converter is matched to setup.

Re: First passes.
Our cam is pretty small, It's a comp xr 292 with a large 114 lobe sep for the n2o. I'd like to get the car into the 6.20 range before we try to spay it. We have full exhaust.....I may pull it off to save some weight. I think we could have got in the 30's if the track would not been so shitty. It's a releaf just to make some passes!bbf-falcon wrote:Some cars it helps a bunch and some NONE. It all depends how well the converter is matched to setup.

Chuck Dougias track they just don't prep it right on tnt, Cecil wasn't so far for yall could work the bug out alot better. We went to Cecil last night got the car leaving about right after the spring change and the new struts on the front. 3 runs 1.27 60 time every time ran 5.603 ,5.633 ,5.67 getting alittle loose the last run he got out of the groove alittle it was his best outing yet.Got it just about dail in and it is all n/a no nos on it but I think there is some 5.5s in it. Just can't wieght tell I get mine on the track but it will be like yours going to take time maybe next year I can make some runs.Chuck keep us posted on yours and your bother's and good luck on it.

Re: First passes.
Cecil will be our next trip.........my brother was side ways when he went to 2nd gear one time. I didn't set the car up for motor passes, so if I can get in the 6.20's with out nitrous i'll be happy. I don't think Douglas has a groove!69F100 wrote:Chuck Dougias track they just don't prep it right on tnt, Cecil wasn't so far for yall could work the bug out alot better. Re: First passes.
Chuck ,with 109 MPH spinning..you should be able to get 110 MPH on a good hook. That should be good for 6.15 to 6.25 range. On my cars they're both a tenth faster on the T-brake. Good luck

My old truck (2700 lbs.) was about a tenth and a half happier leaving off the t-brake.

Douglas in my book is just for street racers to do it legal about like being on the street when you got something with hp it want hook it is about 7 sec. track anything less than that they better pray before making a run you don't now where it may go
