Re: Band Of Brothers
Dustin, It was a pleasure meeting you ,your beautiful wife and girl and boy. And like I told you,If need be, bring it down and we can put it on the lift and get it sorted out.biddy84 wrote:This group has been one of the best to go to for help. I finally met a member face to face today, and can say without a doubt that this is a band of brothers. I have to thank BBF-Falcon for the help today. I am keeping the faith that my rocket will fly again. Hope to be ready for next season, but this is the best place to find answers to my questions. Thanks y'all.

Re: Band Of Brothers
I think you are all a bunch of a-holes.
but youre my a-holes
I was talking with my gf about this the other night how a few years ago I wouldve never dreamed of becoming close friends with a guy on the other side of a screen name. Not that I was against it, it just didnt seem likely. Looking back I laugh because I know some of my best friends are 10+hrs away. I think good people are good people regardless of where they live, their background, race, etc. Its the common bond, 385 "motors - " in this case, that make us friends. I enjoyed the tech seminar earlier this year....learned a lot, met some really cool people and saw some kick-ass engine stuff.
You da' man Uncle Charlie.

I think it was Seth Hembree that benifited form the art work.... I don't know who did the art work, but they look like they had fun doing it....

I can't remember who did the artwork, but someone stole my identity and posted the pics on the board.

c.evans wrote:Guys,
I've been thrashing this past couple of weeks and a new engine went on the dyno tonight. More on that later. However, after we got it on, Dave Freelander and I went to supper sometime after 9:00 and while there had a chance to talk. I was trying to express how this community of BB Ford guys/fans would do just about anything to help each other out. Dave said, we are like a "Band of Brothers", and I said that's it exactly. The term fits great. Then when I came home tonight, I saw Blake's post about this is way the old forum was, and I agree. Those of you who have come to the BB Ford Bash, or the Winter Tech Seminars, or the NMRA Finals at Beech Bend, or the Block Seminar in Missouri, and the list goes on, but you know what I'm talking about. It's not always about "the money". We love our 385 Series Ford engines, and we will go out of our way to help a brother out. Let's not lose that sense of community that we have.
Take care and have a great Labor Day weekend!
Uncle Charlie
Well said Charlie.
I have met some really nice fellow BBF fans through the 460 sites and I am impressed with how helpful members are !!
