Back from the dead...
Out of the shop for the first time in almost a year.
Proof that it actually runs: (My neighbors love me!)

Yes there is see why I needed the filter I drive around the neighberhood on a reg. basis. Thanks for the feedback it took a long time to get it back togather. It's off to test and tune tonight not looking for any numbers just seat and run time on the new combo.scottke wrote:There's a part on that car from me isn't there?
What do you think of the hood? I made that out of a ruined hood and a areo scoop that came out of the mold with the base messed up.I redid the paint on the car as well.Thought it turned out ok for Wards homeboy shop job.

test & tune
Went to or local track last night for test and tune I-22. The track was not as good as it usualy is.It looked like rain and it is hard to spend the money for track prep. Any way the car ran ok. went 6.24 @ 112 right out of the trailor this was on foot brake 60 foot 1.34 I think? 60 foot was 1.58 on trans brake so no need to go there. It was breaking loose at about 6000 rpm in first gear and was spinning all the way thru high gear so ther should be plenty left to gain. The best the other motor ever ran was 6.27 on motor and that was on alcohol.I didn't change the car because of the track and tires which are twice hand me downs from my friends limited street car.I saw no reason to try.
Next up new tires. Mine are SHOT, and spray. No great #'s but all and all I pleased. Oh ya, Wyatt runnered up in the pit bike race. It was his first time to see a bracket tree other than watching the races. There was 15 in it so he did good.

Actually, nothing to worry about here. I will be lucky to make it at all now. Things are not progressing like they should...The new MFI box is still another week out and I have to send the IRS a large sum of money. I thought the truck would be almost done, but the bodywork has turned out to be a mess.

Re: Back from the dead...
David it would look like a cartoon when I let go of the button if we had that beast of yours it. You know the one where the trans and rear end are falling out as the car barley moves

Re: Back from the dead...
Why no sauce? I have no compression, stock suspension, little bitty tires and weigh almost 3300 lbs. You may even have to give me a hit on the tree,to keep me in the same zip code as you. Oh ya I'll prob have to foot barke it to. Hum... maybe you start in the water box?????? Oh this aint pinks is it! see you there. You never know what I might show up with in the pokey pony. Thats the good thing about living in next to no where you can work in top secret.D.
