Sorry for you there Nick. I'm the same way with the old 05 Dodge. Eating me alive and now throwing more codes and dying again. Last trip in was $4k for a new set of injectors.

sorry to hear, but it seems thats all you hear from these trucks....people really need to figure out how much they "need" one of these trucks especially towing a race car 2-15 times a year realistically for most bracket racers....a few long hauls,ok, big deal....but if u truley use a diesel for work everyday my theroy is off some
truck that is big money + repairs that are big money + fuel that is big money = a gas powed H/D truck instead

Really is true,My ole 97 PS don't look like much but,its been paid for for years and the only time I really use it it when I go racin or need too haul something, and besides Sooz and Jack don't mind ridin in it. I will just keep it although something nicer would be fun I guess.

Man I know what you mean. I have a 05 with 25,000 miles on it. Do I really need it…absolutely not but I wanted the diesel. I am thinking my next buy will be a 150.

I dumped my 06 F350 last year.... did well on the deal IMO, considering it had 123k, but it didn't give me any big time trouble or repair bills.
Got a 5.4 F150 with the 10k towing package, for all the more i tow its a better deal than a diesel.

I bought a 94 F350 w/ a 351 with 69000 miles for 3500 dollars for pulling the trailer. Not what I want, but what I needed. Would love the power of a diesel but only going to ten events or so a year it just doesn't make sense. No truck payment, low insurance, and the money I save can go into the car. Nick,We stock 24 injectors,5 driver modules,I see it just about everyday,4000-6000 dollar bills on 6.0.Not to mention the EGR coolers AT 512.00 and injection pumps at 800.00.They are so expensive to operate.Yes my 5.4 pulls good too.

Been thinking about getting a new ecoboost, but my 90' cummins don't cost anything on maintenance. Looks like ass, but sure is cheap to operate except for the price of diesel

The old Cummins are simple and relitivly cheap to operate, I had a 93' and Loved the Engine !!! only problem with it was it was in a "Tuna Can" of a truck..... Dodge Trucks are absolutly junk.

Re: and the saga continues ......
too bad u dont live in NY....i work with one of the better diesel techs in the state....most of all the garages in the area recruit him to come to their shops for mis diagnosed diesel problems from most dealers....his "homeshop" is always very busy, but he needs to be where he is for health and bennies.....i definitly see a seriuos need for real good diesel techs in the country....good luck with you repairsbruno wrote:its all good , just wish they had some good diesel techs there .... its still doing the same thing
P/S.....dodges are not that bad....rather install new ball joints and axle joints, rather than oil coolers, turbos.and boxes of injectors anyday...lol
