Friend from work has a 2005 dodge ram that is hard starting when warm. If you lightly touch throttle or stcik a pocket screwdriver in the butterfly it will fire right up. Dealer can't figure it out. Had local mechanic put a couple suspect sensors on it with no fix. He is sick of it, and I can't get him to buy a Ford. Hates ford for some reason.
Thanks for any help

I assume no codes?

I would suspect something like a throttle body given it is DBW. The control motor is probably at fault. I would also check the supply wire for 12v and the other wires for less then 5 ohms back to the PCM. Also check the APPS out at the pedal for the same things.

I can't say it is common, butI have replaced a few TB's for odd idle before.
