when you guys shoot your jams and such. Do you use base coat clear coat? Or do you use an enamel of same color for under hood and jams. Places that wil be hard to cut and buff. Outside will be b/c and plan to sand and buff it.
thanks, Dave.
also does anyone do renderings?

When I do an overall with b/c I use it on everything including jams and under hood areas. If it's a solid color with no metallics I will panel paint everything and assemble it afterwards. I've never cut and buff jams. If the color is a metallic I jam it assemble everything then mask off the jams and paint the outside. I'm no professional just too tight to pay someone to do something I can figure out. Smile

I think that's how my Dad did my merc. It's metallic. Jammed everything and then final paint with it assembled. Just can't remember and he isn't around to ask. A buddy painted his truck with gloss enamel on inside and bc/cc on outside. But you can see a difference in the color. Thanks for the info. Sounds like a plan

doen jams with anything other than what your sprayen outside is looken for trouble.enamel and base/clear dont jive too well when you get them together,if it's pritty fresh.the base coat it the one that'll lift other stuff when you go over it,looks like paint remover. Surprised
