Re: Blake da' Snake is Flying at Beech Bend
I dont see that a 31 would hurt anything, a 33" I would think the 60' would suffer.........there would be a weight difference also.

there's a guy that I heard of that says he'll take that 33" tire and use it to stomp that 60 ft's ass on high testrichter69 wrote:I dont see that a 31 would hurt anything, a 33" I would think the 60' would suffer.........there would be a weight difference also.

Congrats on the great runs Blake !
I know you told me you wanted a 5.39 out of it.
Did you get it in the first round Sunday?

No Alan, I left the line and it mad a move to the left and I had to lift and get it back in the groove and it slowed to a 5.44 on that pass. that was the only test I got.
One hell of a weekend, I enjoyed all my friends and good racing to boot.
Good to see you again, I'm still running your old headers too...................

Why did you have to install new struts at the track?

Re: Blake da' Snake is Flying at Beech Bend
He was a little tired of asking flight control for permission to launch! That and diapers aren't cheap these days. Seriously though, she was ripping the front wheels right off the ground and going damn near straight up. He had 90/ 10's on there and went to an adjustable which made a pretty big difference.

I'm thinking about a year ago Uncle Charlie, along with others, suggested that he get the front end down out of the air. So then several weeks ago when he and the Dixie Doorslammers were at Beech Bend,,,,, again I saw what the car was doing and I really started hounding his butt. Told him nice things such as "it looked like a snowplow going down the highway with the blade raised". He knew he needed to, but after that first "bumper dragging" pass on Friday, he got "motivated" and went to the manufacturers midway and bought himself some. I'd say now the car is running up to it's potential and Blake is doing very well with it This car has sleeper status and he could do well going grudge racing and making some side bets

Good seeing you again as well Blake !
Next year I will give more serious though about taking off work on Thursday so I can get there early for a better parking spot.
I am very impressed that you are making more than 1,000 hp with P-51's and a single carb ......WOW !

If you really believe that BS about the air being that much better up here, you'd be hauling that 3000lb. race car up here tomorrow.I don't think the air will make up for your Mr. Frosty.Blake will melt the Snowballs off Mr. Frostyrichter69 wrote:I will add that is in the "mineshaft" air and a very well prepped track........but not to take away from it.
I'd kill for air like that, never happen around here though.
