bad wreck at our track last night
I wasn't there but heard they ended up closing the track. A blue fox mustang had a bad tumble on the big end. I don't have specifics but the pics from the MWSC site the guy is lucky to be alive. Car is a complete loss.....I have never seen one that crumpled up. They had to medi-flight him out of there, quite a few injuries, swollen brain etc. They say he was released this morning but has no memory of even going to the track, was asking where his car was and if its ok.............which it aint.
Safety stuff guys.

Wow
Must have been in the air last night. Had 3 into the wall wrecks last night at my track. No one hurt but 3 cars demolished.

Looks like he's a lucky guy for sure! I think I see twin hair dryers still hangin on the nose of it, AND it looks like he didn't have a funny car cage. But his driving compartment stayed pretty square from the looks of the pics. A person is lucky to live to race another day when he crashes a fast car! It can happen to any of us.

I bet it was faster than it was certified for. NHRA will probably slap TV on the back of the hands.

Those you see are steel, but they are well past the finish line.
I was incorrect on my info, he was released from the hospital today. Still no word on what might have happened or how fast he was when it did. I know TVRP has had an issue with a pothole or something and had it patched and the patch was coming apart. I dont know if this had anything to do with what happened. I do know Tech has been pretty strict this season, so I'm sure he had all the required safety equipment to run the numbers he was turning.

Re: bad wreck at our track last night
There is a divisional race the coming weekend, any track issues they have I'm sure will be addressed by NHRA lol.
It looked like it did happen areound 9pm, TV has a dew problem in the evenings as it in a river bottom, could have been a factor, that and a reg Friday tnt they dont spend any extra on track prep.

I think track prep was our problem when we wrecked the dragster. Happened on a Wednesday TNT night... Never again...
