night at the track ....

get a phone call last night saying that some boys are calling me out at the track Rolling Eyes

.... so my buddy Brian (shit stirrer) told me he was gonna pick me up , i said give me an hour and i will have the car ready (plugs , change the jets in the carb 95 to 93 , and do a quick ck over ) so we are driving thru Montgomery and get stopped a roadblock ..that was interesting to say the least. Well finally get to the track its still 90 degrees with 80% hum...you could see the dewin the air from the lights ..... so we get her unloaded , filled her up and put air pressure to 10.5 (1 lb higher) .....1st pass of the night netted my best 60' 1.30 but i had to abort the run because the track was horrible , let the car cool down and charged the batt up , so by know i figured these boys would have stepped to me ....not .....the BF Evans sticker on the back scared them Twisted Evil

....and the funny thing is they all run 30's ,40's ....but atleast the car is intimidating Laughing

...... so the 2nd pas of the night was even worse ran another 1.30 60' , but as soon as it would get out past the 100' it was like it was on ice ......... oh well another day i guess ... but on another note .... tonight was shit talking on another level ....brothers, beer and a 200mph mouth ...... they didnt want none of my ford !!!! Very Happy

Sounds like fun Bruno I know I've had a hard time trying to get mine to hook.It must have been right on the limit of where it would hook last yr then the snake jelly put it over the edge.David C. was telling me about a race at Steel in a couple of weeks.Does that sound like something you might could make.We're giveing it alot of thought.Could be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Steele is having a heads-up race (along with some outlaw and small tire classes) on July 10th, we hope to be there if the car will run a 6.00 for the index class, we went last year and it was something different to say the least but our closet racing friends (BBF powered) won the 6.00 class. so if any of you guys decide to head over we can meet at the track would love to meet some of you guys in person.
