Went to the track last night.
Mike and I took the Mustang to SRD last night. First 80'-100' where fine on the first run, but after 100' the track was crap. First pass we improved on our best 60' 1.410 to 1.392, but then it was all down hill. The track hasn't been opened in a month and with all the rain we've been having hasn't helped, plus all the cars running with street tires started pulling up rubber at the line and then that started to go away. We quit after the forth run and packed up. We might try again next weekend, then on the 26th it's off to a good track (Silver Dollar Dragway). Good job Mikey . Here's a video of the last run, hang on .

Man, I wish we could. Right now it would be nice to run on a track that was a little more consistent. It would much easier on what suspension changes to make and get it nailed down. It such a wide spectrum of conditions, I feel like I'm pissing in the wind .

Yikes, that was some drivin!!!
Its pretty hard to tune when everything keeps changing.....
Keep at it, you'll get it nailed down.

Hope you can get it on a good track and get it dialed in. Nothing worse than trying to get something figured out with bad track conditions. Some mighty fine driving to keep that thing between the lines.

Doug don't know how far it would be for you but sgmp in cecil is a great track for traction they beleave in prepping the track and keeping it prepped all the time they are running and spray the starting line when they notice anybody start slipping off the line when you walk up to the line to help with staging your feet is sticking to the track and it is a 1/4 mile concert track with no bumps it is smooth all the way down.don't know how much far silver dallor is for you or how far cecil would be for you.I know cecil has great traction and have herd silver dallor has great traction but I haven't been to silver dallor hoping one day to make it to silver dallor and check out the track I hear it is a good track but got to get mine built first.

I've been on Cecil's website and it looks like a great track, but Reynolds is a little closer though and Mike has run there before so he knows that track. We're going to make these kind of conservative runs so he doesn't have any problems with getting the crossover license. But, after that we'll let her rip if time allows.
