Cool night at the track!
Hey guys! I normally only race in the mud, but after getting my new 523 in my bronco I decided to drive it to the local 1/8 mile for a few test passes on TNT night. I have a set of 37" Goodyear wrangler military hummer tires on the truck and have found that this stroker will smoke the tires on demand!!!
Anyways I made a few passes and could never really stand on it off the line due to traction issues.
On my last pass of the night a guy w/ a new (yellow w/ black racing stripes) Camaro SS pulled in to the lane beside me. Boy was I nervous! The lights came down and we hit the gas! I feathered the throttle in first gear, shifted to second and rolled the heat on. The old 5000lb bronco pulled right away from the Camaro!!!! I couldn't believe it! First night to the track and got a win light!
Truck ran a 8.48 @ 82mph w/ a 1.984 60'
I didn't think that was too bad for my pump gas hunting truck!
Anybody have a guess at what she would run if I could really lay into it off the line?

I would guess low 1.8's to high 1.7's and low 8's. You might crack into the 7's, but I doubt it by your MPH and 60's. Get a set of big slicks and some throw down front tires and turn the dope on it. If you where spraying, do the same with biggger jets. Those are some impressive times for a heavy jacked up Bronco, that does not hook.

Haha no spray yet! My flow tool from Steve Johnson just came in so I'm getting all that set-up as we speak! I've gotta hunt down some slicks!!!

Congrats on the win and the 8.48@82 mph in the 1/8 mile.I think my old LTDII ran a 8.24@84 mph in the 1/8 mile with a 1.84 60ft.Did anyone video tape when you beat the Camaro that would be cool to see?I ran a 9.39@72.64 mph in the 1/8 mile and a 14.74@92.09 mph in the 1/4 mile last Saturday with my DD bone stock 2013 F-150 Supercab 4X4 EcoBoost V-6 and 3.31 gears.
