Re: Danny Bee Belt System
Why the longer studs? Are the P51s threaded that far down? Or did you modify yours?

Re: Danny Bee Belt System
he like bbc parts in his engine.
another plus is they can be shimed up to get the rocker fulcrum off the stud threads , as long as the rocker doesnt hit the stud radius

Sounds like an interesting concept... But why be all secret about it and shlt?... And those studs posted dont look like they would solve that problem anyway...I noticed that the rockers on my heads were gonna ride on the threads as well, and dont like it, but I was told its no big deal..so

if you space the stud up ( shim/washer or made the ...) non threaded part moves up , longer 7/16NC still has the same thread engagment (or cut to lenght). rocker fulcum doesnt move (same valves/pr's).
Longer valves/push rods move the fulcrum up onto the treaded part of the original stud

I take those studs are 7/16x7/16 .
they from open stock ?
then what Ford head they come on ?
might not even be used for a rocker stud , who knows .. only two so far

The only BBC parts in the DD are the connecting rods and about 56% of a set of guide plates.

They are sold under a TFS part #...made by ARP....A460 application. They have an effective stud lenght of 2.261"...if there is a direct bbc application for the studs I am unaware of it.

Dan,
Like Lem said, the new longer rocker studs come on the latest TFS A-460 heads. The guys at TFS told me they are a proprietary part for TFS only. Even though they are made by ARP, you can not get them through ARP.
