AN fittings -16 vs -20
Anybody out there using a radiator with the bungs welded on? If so, are you using a -20 fitting or a -16 fitting. I want to have the bungs welded onto my radiator and I don't know what size would be best for a BBF?
Is this a case of the bigger the better?

nothing yet, I still have to buy all of that. They make whatever you want for all the parts you just named...
Either I buy all -20 or all -16 PARTS

I used -10 on the dragster. For the little bit we ran it at the house and track it seemed to work just fine... I'm almost positive Mikey ran -10 on it when he had it too. I would assume he did since that's what the radiator had welded to it.
Sometimes it's counter productive to move too much water through a radiator...

Curt I don't know, just trying to see what will be better. I decided to switch from hose's to AN lines last night!! So I’m just searching for answers right now. I will be driving the mustang on the street sometimes also...
Instead of -20 vs -16, it now looks more like -16 vs -12

Think about how much water goes through a 5/8" water hose. That would be equal to a -10.. No need for the big expense of large fittings and hose.

if it's between -12 and -16 now I would go with -12. and for the street driving don't worry about the thermostat. we do upgrades for some guys with classic cars that drive in parades. that were worried about which thermostat to use. that is the beauty of an electric pump you can control when the water flows. if it flows too much, which I have never had, then put a wacher inline to restrict the flow.

Actually, I ran -8 on the old car AND the new car. The bungs on the old rad were -8 . No issues on the old one and none yet on the new one.

Except that at idle, there is no load on the engine. And if you have a good electric fan, there shouldn't be an issue..
Been there.......Done it... in a "street car".

I plan to use the same pump/radiator/fan combo in the Mustang too.
Doesn't Shogun still make that Tik-Tok box? I recall some guys I used to race with years ago having trouble keeping cars cool and installing that box from Shogun fixed it alot. All it did was automate/alternate the fan and pump until the engine cooled down...
