Baby gonna have some squeeze !!!
Curt - Put that in your com-pooter and cypher it out........ in my best guess you better "assume" a 4.75 crank.... What ya figure the compression could be?

Re: Charlie Evans Project
Hey guys,
Everybody just chill out and take a 10 second break. No need for sarcasim or however you spell it. Anyway the Pro-Filer 205 heads have a nominal 60 cc combustion chamber, so Phillip is right on when he said 59cc, because we gave them a .005" shave. The engine will be a 598 CID, and I have a dish in the pistons. Hopefully the compression should be around 14:1, or a little more. Phillip will figure it out and it will be what it will be.
The intake valves are the same diameter as the C-460 heads at 2.450" in diameter. Exhaust valves are 1.850" in diameter. These are a wedge head with no side cant. Intakes flow around 550 cfm or a little more, and the exhaust flow around 375-380 without a test pipe.
Guys, you can put too big of a valve in a head. Darin Morgan has about 4 or 5 pages devoted to this subject in his book.

Re: Charlie Evans Project
Let me toot my own horn here.
4.600 bore
4.5 crank
only 14/1 comp.
the "low compression" pistons was stated as a joke because of the dish in them. Randy, you're just an asshole.

Re: Charlie Evans Project
let me get this strait... the profilers flow better than the C460 heads... you can make almost 1300 with a C headed engine but not with a Profiler? whats wrong here or am I missing something?

CI is at play here too, the bigger hp stuff is usually 632-640ci stuff, and even though that is as such a small upgrade in size, at 1.8 or so HP/CI that can mean as much as 80 or more hp.
