Blake,
You may not know this,,,,but in another life,,,,Lem taught the ancient Chinese philosopher Confusius,,,,everything he knew. One of proverbs that Lem taught Confusius was; "He who raises the intake port the highest, wins".
Charlie

bruno wrote:OK HERE IS A DUMB QUESTION ....WHY THE DIFFERENT COLOR PUSHRODS OR DIFFERENT METALS/BRAND ?
The dark ones came for Trend's stock.......the shiney ones were special order and on the hurry up so they did not stop to get the coating. They are of the same metal.
Re: Charlie Evans Project

Guy's
Everybody has worked really hard today, especially Phillip's employee Marvin. I think at one time about four of us were calling his name, saying Marvin do this, Marvin do that, Marvin go get this, and he was just in a tailspin from the overload. Anyway, we are NOT done, but we are at a solid and repeatable 1194 Hp and 930 Tq and the engine is 598 CID. So, if we can get two more horsepower and we'll be at 2 Hp/CID. There's a couple of things that we're going to try tomorrow. What's interesting is that we are using a cast TFS A-460 tunnel ram, not a custom sheet metal tunnel ram.
This engine is slated for Kristina Lawyer's dragster, so Todd and Gail Lawyer came over this evening and got to participate in the dyno session. It is also nice that Larry Williams is in town for a few days and I appreciate his help also. As always, I want to give a big thanks to Phillip Oakley for all his hard work in building this engine.

These #s were after the Reher-Morrison carb spacers that Charlie provided were removed and the Phillip Oakley/QFT spacers were installed.

Re: Charlie Evans Project
Charlie ... just curious.
Is that engine equipped for "single pass cooling" water flow or standard water flow...?
