Mid Plate question???
At what point does it become necessary to have a Mid-Plate in your racecar?
Design of the chassis? HP rating of engine? Whats the determining factor when its time to put one in???
Thanks Tore

Re: Mid Plate question???
Well this was my deciding factor....(don't know if it was the correct way in determining when to do it)...but.................
I decided to front plate my car to get rid of the mounts, the mount towers, and whatever else was in the way to give me more clearance for the headers, weight reduction and tie the engine to the frame hoping for weight tranfer and hooking up better factors, so at that point the mid-plate decision came into play also. So I thought I might as well tie the trans mounting to the car too, since I was "re-inventing the wheel"....new engine (bigger) and trans combo(PG) fabbing engine plate and brackets along with a trans crossmember why stop then FWIW
