Vacuum Pump
At what horsepower/ torque level is it wise to install a vacuum pump system ? This is for a wet sump deal.
Thanks in advance

Re: Vacuum Pump
Best way I can describe it is, if your motor leaks oil all over the place after you put a spanking to it you need a Vacume pump.

IMO depends on the ring pack your using.

From what i've read,a pump is a good thing whether you actually need it or not.

When you don't actually NEED it, is when it works the best; unless your need is because you have specifically built the engine with the lowest tension rings and planned to use one all along.

ANY engine can be helped by a vac pump,p it promotes ring seal, thus = more power

Randy says it best! It reminds me of planting a shrub in the middle of the yard after the original landscaping is done. Did I plant that shrub because it's "the thing", because everyone else has one, or does it make the girls at the office go "wow", or did I not think out my landscape project? It's nice to look at a landscape that has been planned properly instead a landscape that has shrubs, trees and bushes growing at random because a bird shit a seed here or there!
Just more of my B.S.,
Dave.
