Upgrades to Tweetybird
Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever get it ready for race season. Alot to do yet. Had a new cage put in it.They didn't get the F/C cage high enough.I had to cut it out and raise it 2",few other issues I won't mention.Remounting everything now, made door latch brackets, before I just mounted them on the glass door post. Took the tubs out today,it makes it alot easier to work on. My Jon Thee flanges should be here tomorrow,so maybe I'll make headers this weekend.I got the hat adapted to the Ahead T/R this week.I'll be glad to get this car running again!![img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

Re: Upgrades to Tweetybird
Had a couple of bars that were too thin,so I replaced the whole cage to where I could get a little more leg room. And "we" are putting a 580 A-headed engine in it.Should be interesting to say the least Nick,I don't think I'm going to put zoomies on it right now, just going to reflange my headers.Time and money are tight right now..BOSS 429 wrote:looks good, what was the reason for the rebuild?

Re: Upgrades to Tweetybird
Brian ,I had a guy that owed me some work is why I let him do this one.I've got SFI spec sheet on the way.My cousin is a boilermaker and has worked as a Nascar Tech for about 20 years.I'm in the process of buying a mandrel bender right now. As soon as I get caught up in the shop ,he's bringing his tig welder over and we're going to build a jig ,then we're going to build a complete chromemoly chassis. This one will work until then.My neighbor got a new car that I'm gonna post a pic of ...Make sure Big Bob sees it!!!
