I do not play with any explosive stuff after my experience when I was 17, I was down at the river fishing when a guy from school came up carrying a plastic bag, he was one of the nerdy type that really loved science and biology in school, he said, "you see that tree leaning over the water? I am going to blow it out of the ground and into the river with my homemade bomb". I thought he had finally lost his mind, but I watched him dig a hole next to the tree with a small foldable shovel and bury this thing he had in his bag, then I stood there laughing as he set it off and ran like hell. (why didn't I run) Man, it blew me backwards as all kinds of stuff hit me, next thing I new I was sitting on the ground and could not see a thing, when I finally got all the dirt out of my eyes and could see, all there was left where the tree stood was a big root wad and the tree was laying in the river.
I never picked on that kid again, and every time I seen him I went the other way.

P.S. I think this is also why I still have a ringing noise in my left ear.
