I did a 472 13:1 solid roller dove heads victor intake 1050 dominator 2 inch header 3.5 collector... It dynoed 667 hp at 6600-6700 rpm... The heads were good but not full boogie... Just another reference point for ya

My cam as of right now is a comp hyd flat tappet cam . It is only good to around 6500 6800 rpm.
Traction is going to be a problem I am thinking . I hope to make some passes in it next weekend. Cool

Not to sound like a downer, but a hyd flat tappet it going to be hard pressed to get you to the hp level you want to hit those numbers. A custom solid roller ground to match my specific heads it what it took to get my little 466 to where it was.

I know you are telling me right ! I just didn't want to start taking it apart . I traded my 521 rotating assebly for the complete engine so I could get the Fairlane going.Thanks

No hp numbers but I went 12.04 108 and 10.85 120 on 82 squared a few years back in my 4200lbs truck. 466 9.5:1 2404 pistons, ported d0ves, victor not gasket matched, 850, comp hyd flat tappet xe284h, 1 7/8 headers, 3.70 gears.

You going back tappet or roller?? I vote solid roller bet it would pick up 30hp then a dominator swap we looking at 50hp jump Wink

If the cylinder head or manifold intake ports were somewhat matched with decent port alignment ...
certainly.

Although a well set-up C4 would be faster, it wouldn't last as long.

In my old dragster, I used to run 514's with D0VES and Offy Portosonic. Pushed the car to 5 teens. Never dyno'd but the calculator said ~ 750hp.
