starting engine build soon
Hi everyone, looking to get my build started. I have an 86 Coupe that its going in. Going to be a drag only build no street use. I would like to do some local racing maybe some D/R racing. Looking for mid 5 1/8 mile times or quicker on some nitrous. What CI should I look to stroke the D9TE Block to, I'm thinking of using the P51s, what size carb, intake posibilities, any advice is greatly appreciated!! Also is there any referrals on builders around Spartanburg SC. And any builders on the site I do value any info!!! There are some really nice builds in here. Please help, thanks so much!!!

557( w/ stock block) , tfs mafia intake , with an I-S fogger , 1250 cfm carb ,custom Lem Evans cam ------ low 5's with out a doubt ........ my only .02 would be to invest in an aftermarket block .......... give Phillip @ Oakley Motorsports ( 270-929-5185) a call and he will set u up on some possibilities on the P-51 cylinder heads and can get you them from mild to wild and at least guide you in the right direction
good luck and keep us posted
