Well I guess by "invite only" then there will be "some rules", as in your rules based on who you invite. In other words it's going to be door car only, and last year at Tennessee we had a Mustang show up with a BB Chevy engine, so I realize you're not to invite him. So then it will be at least Ford powered door cars. Is that much correct? Big tire? Tube chassis? Pro Mod?

Some dude down at the far end of the pits. They wouldn't let him unload, however it was a nice looking Mustang. They had dropped the trailer door and had started to get the car out.

It would be nice to run something other then S/P. .
Are we ( as a group) saying we can't find enough dragsters to have our own 4.50 index / headsup race for dragsters ??
I also wonder about this by "invite" thing... How many of these guys will be coming from :the bullet" ??

What is meant by invite? I though these were open as long as you had a Ford vehicle and Ford powered. Would be cool to make this even being so close to home.

the headsup race " BBF Shootout" is by invite only ..... i invited 20-24 cars last year to keep some kind of fairness .... i felt it was any ones race ...the track conditions was the deciding factor !!!!
the bracket program is open to anyone

Getting Ready for the BIG Race
Here we go. In the spirit of full disclosure, I must declare that the PA Boys have been hard at work this winter. Our goal was to increase the rate of acceleration.
We have applied Newton’s theory of Acceleration that states…. Acceleration A = change in velocity / Elapsed Time. Average acceleration is the ratio between the change in velocity & the time interval. For example, if a car moves from stopped to 5 m/s in 5 seconds, its average acceleration is: 5m/s / 5s = 1 m/s^2. There is also a Mass component that must be dealt with. The larger the Mass (or in this case ass) the greater the force needed.
After many hours spent in the garage contemplating the knowns as well as the unknowns (it is difficult to contemplate an unknown) we have devise a plan. We need more power. And by more power we are talking “tire burning, nitro guzzling” power.
We are going to covert to VP racing fuel from Sunoco 95. With the increase in octane the chances of premature ignition will lessen. Premature ignition is a condition that I personally have struggled with my entire adult life. This will also become more important as we increase the compression ratio from 10 to 1 to a more competitive 13 to 1. There will also be a major change in the engine compartment. The battery will be move rearward to the trunk area. This 45 pound weight transfer will probably be the difference maker. Get your cameras ready. Moon shot. I may be installing wheelie bars.
There is also a new position to be filled in our racing team. We will employ a “spotter”. The job description will read “to aid the race car driver (me) in staging the car through the burnout”. My plan is to have someone stand close enough for me to see clearly and make a circular motion with his or her hand when I have completed a nice smoky burnout. The circular motion will be similar to a ZZ Top hand motion prominently displayed during several of their iconic music videos. The decision to add a position on team was very difficult. But in the end we decided “what the heck, the more the merrier”. Sometimes just go with your gut.
Every year we get closer to the top of the heap. This might be the year we are the heap. And if it is hot enough we might be a steaming heap.
By the way, this is not my yearly rant that so many of you look forward to; this is more of a warning of just how twisted a mind I have. It is kind of a small cry for help.
Carry on.

Just a warning to the wise.
There is a psychological side to this game. Sometime the biggest psycho wins. And at 6’4’’ and 400 pounds obviously, I am a big psycho.
