Front suspension ?
I was looking at some pics of my car and it got me to thinking ! It seems that the front wheels drop down more since I have change from the stock K member and spring set up to the coil overs and Qa1 K member.
So my question is would limiter help my traction , and or 60ft times and could it help overall et ?
Best 60ft is 1.44 .

Re: Front suspension ?
That is what is on mine, something must be wrong with yours. Mine will make a big difference from full loose to full tight.

Re: Front suspension ?
It makes a difference in the way the car reacts but the front tire drop down a whole lot lower now than they did with the stock k member and coil springs . same struts and setting on both suspensions. It just got me to think if there was something to it !

Re: Front suspension ?
My guess the stock a arms were frozen and not free to move. About all it could be.

Re: Front suspension ?
I don't have them on mine with the adj struts, I can loosen them to full loose and stand it on the bumper or full tight and tires foot off the ground spinning. I wouldn't think you would need them if the struts were working correctly.
I think if you watch the car close the front tires may not be dropping fully until your a ways out. even at full tight I don't they will drop all the way by 100 ft or less.
Maybe Dave will correct me.............

By looking at the pics of your car your front wheels set up higher in the fender like mine did with the stock k member . May be nothing to it ! I will be testing in a few weeks and do some adjusting and see what happens.

Re: Front suspension ?
Build you some from home depot parts and test it. If it doesn't work like you want then take them off. If they do work then use them. We run limiters on everything. With good or bad struts.

Like Jon said. I would even go further and emphasize that limiters are not a band aid like some people think. Hell with my front end I have to run limiters or it puts stuff in a bind. I can't have as much travel as my struts allow.

Re: Front suspension ?
Adjusting the strut extension valving tighter & tighter doesn't reduce the total amount of avalible front suspension travel, it just slows down the speed at which any amount of that said travel is allowed to eventually happen.
Having the ability to adjust/limit the front suspension's total travel distance can help if it's what the car/combo in question really needs. Some cars migh work better with all the travel you can get, and some work better with less. Having both limiters & adjustable valving at the same time does increase the size of the usable adjustment window. Adjust total travel distance with the limiters, adjust the speed of that travel with the valving, both can work together.
It can't hurt to give them a try, as mentioned keep them if they help, remove them if they don't.
