sounds like what happened with my deal working with " a" dealer ..... they had to have known of the issue with this truck , but i guess there techs didnt want to touch it due to pay ....took it to dealer "b" and they knew the problem asap ....took 2 weeks to get the parts ......replaced . back on the road ...but still have the same issue

talk to the ford directly today and said they were working on the issues ....this truck will not tow an empty trailer without it shutting down ......... p o s !!!

btw we dont turn anything down warranty or not. in fact we have gotten a lot of trucks that the other dealers didnt wanna mess with

so its a $$$ issue then??? scratch

So the 6.4 & 6.7 motors are having oil related failure issues? or is it a problem with the part/parts ?
& when this happens your dealership is not paying the tech what they should for said repairs? Suspect

dealership pays me well, its the hours that ford gives us for warr time that sucks. You the customer has nothin to worry about if your maint is all good.

my 2003 7.3 has 290,000 on it as of now and I will keep it another 3 or 400,000 at this rate, then have it rebuilt and run it another 750,000 or find another spare engine for it to keep in the wings....

I'm loving my maintained, tuned, lifted, bad ass 6.7!!! By far the best truck I've ever owned. My first diesel but probably put more miles on Poppa Bear's 6.4 than he did since I kept his truck while he was over the pond. I've been around 6.0's and 7.3's quite a bit but never actually owned one. I was looking to buy a used 7.3 but everyone I found worth a shit was priced crazy high.

IMO the new ones wouldnt be so bad if they were not 60k, 24k is more like about how much they should cost.

They are really expensive. I went XL for a couple few reasons money being a big one. Plus I don't drive it everyday so I didn't need all the bells and whistles. Somewhere along the way, trucks became expensive toys instead of expensive tools. I'll work mine and with good maintenance, should last me a long time. I do love the sound of a good ole 7.3 and tuned 6.0 though.
