Jesse,i don't have a Charlie's pan,but you will probably need a offset starter,such as csr/msd etc.

Which factory starter do you have ? The small style like the 460 trucks form the 1990's or the huge one from the '60s and '70s cars?

I got my starter from DB electric online. It was 50 bucks. I know blacks or K&D electric in Somerset have them too. Cheaper than auto zone and they are decent. If your gonna be around tomorrow I could bring mine over for u to try. Let me know.

Get one from one of the big parts chains. It's hard to beat a lifetime replacement warranty on a race car part. Wink

Thanks guys, got the 95 starter and it fit great with lots of room. Now, the solenoid on this new starter has three posts and according to the diagram my solenoid on the fender is different. Does the bottom post on the new starter get a wire or no? I currently have the old 70's solenoid on the fender. Any wiring advise would be great. Thanks again .....soon it will be all together and I can stop asking questions,,,,,,, Very Happy

Just run a very short jumper wire to connect the 2 small terminals and it should work. Like the 2 in Lems diagram.
