What's the best Aluminum head for a 460?

What's the best aluminum head to go with for best horsepower results , Kaase P-51 or Trick Flow, etc?

whats the use? How big of motor? how much money you willing to spend?

Close second is a flat top out of the box P-51, 557 roller cam 14.5 :1 ported Victor or out of the box TFS Mafia. This may be an even better $ per hp deal. Easy 900 hp.

What vehicle is the engine going into...? In my opinion, The exhaust port placement will mean a lot and CAN be a drawback for $ spent but, the power level is usually worth it.

It'll be ran in a mud bog truck. I will probably go with a 557 setup and would like to get at least 750-800 horsepower out of this.

That is an easily achieved goal. That kind of power goal could be reached with factory iron heads. A good set of Edelbrock CJ, or TFS Streets will make 800+ if ported properly. Out of the box A heads would get you past your goal, and ported ones would be even better.

So if I was gonna run A heads what would be the biggest port job I could go to? Like with the intake and exhaust cfm wise? Sorry if all my engine terms are off I'm young and still learning haha.

With a high end port job the A460's will make well over 1000hp on a properly prepped race engine.

What your budget look like? are you looking for something that you can drive too or is this something for racing only?

Between 10-15k, maybe more, but how much would guess it would take to build a 557 with A heads with all port work an such?

It would only be ran for racing not on the street.

a lot depends on the quality of parts you want. but you are in the ball park for a mid range A460 headed engine at the upper end of your guess.

Scat Rotating Assy, A460 Block, TFS heads with some work and SS Valves, Timing Chain, good wet sump oiling, Etc.

You start adding belt drives, Titanium valves, heavy port work, shaft rockers, high end lifters, High end cranks and Rods it will be well over your estimate.

I am planning on takin Trick Flows A460 tunnel ram an setting it up with an injection hat to run alcohol injection plus nitrous. You don't happen to know where I can find an adapter top plate to mount an injection hat on the tunnel ram do you?

Why injected alky rather than a carb and race fuel?

Well personally a lot of racers are having success with it in mud racing and I've actually heard of better results in some cases.

i made mine for the tfs and anderle hat.all you need is a 1/2" aluminum plate.

That 535 engine has been slightly changed and also is still with Out of the Box, 10 bolt heads.
Options add up quick...!

You can get 1400-1500 hp out of these.
