Powerglide tailshaft?
One of the bolts is striped out on tailshaft.Is a heli coil the only way to fix this problem without changing the tail shaft?

Maybe not the only way, but probably the best way. Helicoil into aluminum = better than new.

Depends on how badly stripped hole is. If hole is in a bad way might be better off going heli-coil due to greater wall thickness.
