I think we used 1 1/2" with 1" kickers on the radiator support and under 20ft but I can pull some measurements if you would like.yellowhorse7 wrote:Looks good. Do you remember approx how many feet of CM you used? 1 5/8 I assume?

That "heap" is a BEAST! I have to say though, it is nice to sit on the tires like a stool at the track while pulling valve covers and such.IDT-572 wrote:Very nice Soup................. I think I may do my old heap too:twisted:

Thanks.............. I'm with you, looks like it opens up a ton of room. Do you know how much weight you lost?

I don't want to step on anyone's toes answering this but we typically see about a 20-25lb savings but it could be more depending how extreme you get.

I don't know how much the tube chassis gave in weight loss by it self as I also gutted the factory power doors completely, removed the steel bumper and styrofoam from the rear, got a lighter hood, removed alternator, gutted the cowl area, and gutted 21lbs out of my beer gut:D . Went from 3240 to just under 3100. Whatbumper is probably right, I'm guessing 25-30 lbs. A lot of work for a little weight but just from a working on it stand point it was well worth it!IDT-572 wrote:Thanks.............. I'm with you, looks like it opens up a ton of room.
